Health & Travel Requirements
All pets must meet the applicable veterinary and health requirements of their destination state before transport. Requirements may include a current health certificate, rabies vaccination, vaccination records, or other required documentation.
When USDA accreditation is required for a particular certificate or destination, documentation must be completed by a USDA-accredited veterinarian.
Pet owners are responsible for obtaining and providing all required veterinary and travel documentation before pickup.
β οΈ Pets without the required documentation will not be accepted for transport.
Transport Agreement
By booking transportation, I confirm that the information provided about my pet is accurate and that I have disclosed any known medical conditions, medications, contagious illnesses, behavioral concerns, aggression, or special needs.
The standard private transport rate is $1.75 per mile, calculated using the applicable round-trip mileage, unless a different shared transport special or agreed price has been provided before booking.
I understand that pickup and arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather, road conditions, pet-care stops, emergencies, and other circumstances may affect travel time.
I authorize Sierra's Paws in Transit to provide reasonable water, potty, feeding, and rest stops as needed during transportation.
If an unexpected medical emergency occurs and I cannot immediately be reached, I authorize reasonable emergency veterinary care when necessary for the safety of my pet. Unless otherwise required by law or caused by the transporter's negligence, veterinary expenses remain the responsibility of the pet owner.
I understand that my pet will be appropriately secured during transportation and that Sierra's personal pets will not accompany client pets during transportation.
Shared transport may include other client pets traveling along the same route. Private transport means the trip is not being sold as a shared multi-client transport route.
